DATE

2024

In 2024, I was called up by Jair de Souza — a master and longtime mentor — to take on a project that brought together three of my passions: design, museums, and football.

The permanent exhibition of the Museu do Futebol (Football Museum), originally designed by Jair, was turning 15 and in need of a complete renewal — coinciding with the renovation of the Pacaembu Stadium in São Paulo, which houses the museum.

Together with my friend Bruno Niquet, under the coordination of Rita Faria, and with illustrations by the talented team at Labareda Comunicação & Design, we redesigned the entire exhibition — with a stronger focus on the diversity that truly defines football. More women, more ethnicities, more identities, more plurality — just as the game really is.

I was mainly responsible for designing the rooms of the “Almanaque da Bola” — a section that shares stories, curiosities, stats, and facts about Brazilian and world football. It includes more than 200 illustrated metal plaques in different sizes and colors, along with tables, display cases, and objects that form a journey through nine museum rooms.

It was six months of complex work — from choosing colors to selecting screws. For me, imagining a physical space and designing physical pieces meant to last at least another ten years is an immense joy.
