MONOBLOC
Although Monobloc Chair is globally considered as a “nondescript” object, that rips away the local idiosyncrasies and pasteurize the world, in Brazil it took a new peculiar spirit. This chair model became an icon for good moments in a cheap bar. It represents (as seen in inumerous brazilian memes) the desire to drink a humble beer in the streets, without any formality or higher exigencies. It’s a true metonymy for public leisure. This on going project is a tribute to the “cheap bar chair”.
