Instituto David Miranda

IDENTIDADE VISUAL

Instituto David Miranda (iDM) was founded by Glenn Greenwald in honor to David Miranda and his public work. Born and raised in Jacarezinho, one of Rio de Janeiro’s largest and poorest favelas, David Miranda overcame a childhood of hardship to become a prominent advocate for civil rights. Elected in 2016 as Rio’s first openly gay city councilman, he advanced over 15 key initiatives and later served as a federal deputy, recognized by Time magazine as a next-generation leader. He passed away prematurely at 37, leaving a legacy of courage and commitment to equality.

I did the branding for the creation of the institute. The logo and visual identity for the main brand, for the project Crescer, and for the 1st and 2nd David Miranda Awards, and multiple design outputs for the brand communication.
